Kroger 4/26/10

I had some really good coupons and I went to Kroger after school. This is what I got





The items I got free were the toilet paper, prevacid, and green giant frozen veggies. Plus those items gave me an overage of 1.50 which made the items that ended up being .25 ea. free (McCormick and the pasta). Also the roses were only 3.00.

My total before coupons and Kroger Plus was 41.93, after my 30.00 savings, I paid 11.93. A 73% savings!!!

Coupon Shopping.... It's been a while!

Well, I sat down at the computer this morning and decided to see what I could find coupons for to make things free or almost free. I got my coupons together and off I went. Out for some shopping and "me time".
This is what I got...............

Wal-Mart



My subtotal before coupons was 26.92. After coupons and tax my total came to 17.87.
The free things were..
2 of the Velveeta
2 travel deodorants
1 Kiss nail stickers
1 travel size wrinkle releaser
1 KY jelly - not something I normally buy, but "if it's free, it's for me" LOL

The plates and napkins were on clearance with the Easter stuff.

Total before coupons and savings was 33.07, after was 15.19

Nothing was free here, but I got some good deals.

Good Lord willin' and the creek don't rise.......

I jokingly put in my facebook status last night, "good Lord willing and the creek don't rise". Someone wrote back "you mean snow". Yeah well, I got up this morning to more snow, however I decided to go in to work anyway. I put my Sorento in 4 wheel drive and took off. I only worked 1/2 a day, but at least I got a few hours in. I think that we will have church tonight, but school is already canceled again for tomorrow. The kids are getting stir crazy, my house is a mess, and I am lazy. We need our routine back. Plus Tony was supposed to substitute teach tomorrow and Friday, but it is looking like that isn't going to happen. We could have used the money though. I guess I will go in again tomorrow and work a 1/2 day again. Maybe eventually I will do my laundry, clean my house, and do the dishes. Time will tell

SNOW!!

I so need to go to work today and get my extended days in however we have snow. I can't even see my road and it is still snowing. I even got up and showered to go to work, but I am not brave enough to drive on snow. So, I guess I am at home for another day. The way it is looking now, the kids won't be in school all week long, so maybe, I can work tomorrow, that is if it quits snowing and they salt our roads.
I had crazy dreams last night. I hate it when dreams don't make any sense at all.
That's it for now.. I guess I will sit and watch it snow for a while.

NOT ME MONDAY!!!!

I most certainly did not tell my child after dropping a piece of toast to pick it up quick, so it wouldn't be dirty and they could still eat it.

I also did not put extra icing on a toaster strudel because I burnt the edges and I didn't want the kids to notice.

It's been a while.............

Wow, it has been a while since I posted last. We have changed jobs, moved, and are trying to get settled in to a new place. We are still couponing and saving money. My plan this year is to track my savings better, and be more accountable. We are also working to pay off debt. We just got our tax refund and paid off a few things, and we are going to try and use my husband's substitute teacher income to pay off other debt. I do still have a plan to be debt free by the end of 2011.
